Pedro Ignacio Alonso

Architect, educator and curator with a master’s degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a PhD from the Architectural Association, currently a professor at both institutions. He was a Princeton-Mellon Fellow at Princeton University and resident architect at the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center. With Hugo Palmarola, he got the Silver Lion for the Chilean Pavilion Monolith Controversies at the Venice Biennale, and the Deutsches Architekturmuseum Book Award for the edited volume, both in 2014. He curated the exhibition Flying Panels: How Concrete Panels Changed the World at the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design, and edited the books Deserta: Ecology and Industry in the Atacama Desert, Space Race Archaeologies and Flying Panels.
