Joana Braga

Participant - "City and Feminisms "

An architect, researcher, intermedial artist and teacher, Joana Braga’s artistic work articulates discursive, visual and performative practices to explore the aesthetic experience of space, its cultural, political and social dimensions. Her artistic projects include the performative walks “The steps around”, and a short film “Imaginary map”. She recently co-curated the collective exhibition “Matter for future excavation”. She has a master's in Aesthetics and Artistic Studies (Nova FCSH), a postgraduate qualification in Architecture of Contemporary Metropolitan Territories (ISCTE-IUL), and in Bioclimatic Architecture and Environmental Restoration (FA-UL), with a degree in Architecture.
