(IT)

Bruno Munari (1907-1998) was an Italian artist and designer, and an inventor in the visual and non-visual arts. He was a researcher on games, didactic method and tactile learning. He started his career following Marinetti and the Futurist movement. In 1929, he opened a joint studio “R+M” with Riccardo Castagnedi, experimenting with innovative techniques and designing the Air Machine, the first "mobile" in art history. In 1948, he co-initiated the Concrete Art movement in Italy. In 1977, at the Pinacoteca di Brera, he created the first museum workshop for children. He is recognised for his important contribution to literature, education and art.
