The semi-arid territory of Fly Ranch in northwest Nevada, home to the Burning Man festival, is marked by contradictions: a remote location with extreme climatic conditions, yet crisscrossed by industrial activity and teeming with life and traditions. Working with this cacophony, Lodgers gathers materials found here to build a family of fragile ‘living’ structures capable of housing different forms of life as temporary guests.
