Geomythology is the study of landscape mythology that accounts for geological events, features, or phenomena in oral and written records and in the form of poetry or myths. Baigala II, an installation originally conceived for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, is inspired by the Mongolian ‘ger’ to invite viewers to become part of the daily life of a herding family on Lake Tsohoor and to discover the geomyths around this site through a virtual reality experience.
